Since 1972, Macdonald, Shymko & Company Ltd. (MSC) has enjoyed the professional trust of many individuals, families and businesses. In fact, many individuals have been clients for over thirty years. Without the continued support of our clients and the business community, the success enjoyed by MSC would not have been possible.
MSC’s advisors and staff are committed to supporting the quality of life in our communities. We have a deep commitment to the Institute of Advanced Financial Planners, are available as presenters at continuing education and support local sports teams. Our trusted advisors are quoted regularly in Vancouver and national media, such as The Globe and Mail, Financial Post, Business in Vancouver, The Vancouver Sun, The Province, Morningstar, MoneySense, Costco magazine and BC Business.
In 1997, MSC marked its 25th anniversary by establishing the Macdonald, Shymko & Company Foundation with the hope that, through the Foundation’s work, the company could give something back to the community that has supported its growth over the years. Consistent with our commitment to education and community, the Macdonald, Shymko & Company Foundation supports the education of those in less fortunate circumstances and assorted community improvement initiatives on the West Coast. Many of our clients and employees have since contributed toward the Foundation’s goals. The Foundation’s projects include: revitalizing the Stanley Theatre, donating a section of the TransCanada Trail, sponsoring summer education programs, supporting athletes and purchasing new computers for Strathcona Elementary School.
